Apollo.io vs Lusha: How much data do they have?

A big consideration when picking any data provider is looking at how much data they each have. So, let’s see what they say on their website about the data and how it’s verified.

Apollo.io has an advanced, built-in seven-step verification process for email addresses. Cell phone numbers, on the other hand, are verified automatically. People who use Apollo.io often rate them highly for their US data, though it’s unclear how much data they have in Europe. Reviews on G2 suggest that Apollo.io lacks data from Eastern European countries and the Middle East.

Lusha, on the other hand, has a strong European database; they also claim 45M contacts in North America. Some reviews say that Lusha’s USA phone numbers can sometimes be switchboard numbers or the wrong numbers altogether. Reviews on G2 suggest that they have limited data for those who prospect for EMEA as well.

Kaspr’s European data

Although the Kaspr database spans the US and APAC, too; where it really competes with Apollo and Lusha is in its 120 million+ European B2B contacts.

Quality data is top-of-mind for us since we know it is for you too. Kaspr checks and verifies data against 120 sources when you request contact information. This means that all our phone numbers and email addresses are verified in real-time.

Want more success when it comes to phone numbers?

“Lusha wanted us to renew the package to get more credits, which was 6x more expensive.”

“I compared like-for-like. So when I couldn’t find a phone number in Lusha, I would use Kaspr instead. The success rate was much better, and the numbers were actually ringing.”

The cost of Apollo.io vs Lusha

Both Apollo.io and Lusha pricing are credit-based subscriptions with a free plan to get started with. Users pick their plans based on the number of monthly or annual credits they’d like to receive (depending on how you’d like to pay). These credit packs provide flexibility to scale up or down and purchase add-ons if needed. Now, let’s compare each credit subscription offered by Apollo.io and Lusha in more detail.

  • Apollo.io offers a free monthly subscription that includes 100 monthly credits (1,200 for the year).
  • Lusha’s free subscription is more limited; they offer 70 monthly credits.
  • When it comes to paid plans, Apollo.io has three: Basic ($49 annually or $59 monthly), Professional ($79 annually or $99 monthly), and Organization ($119 annually or $149 monthly).
  •  Lusha also has three paid plans: Pro ($37.45 annually or $49.90 monthly), Premium ($59.95 annually or $79.90 monthly), and Scale. However, this plan has no transparent pricing and requires you to speak to sales.

How does Apollo.io compare to Lusha for compliance?

Apollo.io is fully compliant with GDPR and aligned with CCPA. As a new feature, Apollo has also started offering Do-Not-Call (DNC) listings when you request a new UK or USA direct dial number. If the contact is on a UK or US registry, you will see the DNC tag within the Apollo web app. It’s worth noting, however, that the DNC list scrubbing is not available in the Chrome Extension.

Lusha, on the other hand, claims on its website to be GPDR and CCPA compliant. Two major independent third-party auditors validate this compliance status: Trust and ePrivacy.
